I have been considering taking a trip to london, so i bought this book for information on england and london included. it is a very through book and loaded with information on where to stay and things to see when there.

This is a must if you are doing England on your own, not as part of a tour. Even if you’ve visited there many times, as we have, you need this as a guide to restaurants, pubs, teas, events, and how to get around. Indispensable!

I had used Frommer’s guides in the past but this one is not up to standards of past guides. It seems that the writers want to ensure the reader understands that these places are overrun with tourists during tourist season. Although I believe I understood that I am not sure what I can do about it. Also, I am one of those tourist. I would rather have seen ONLY a brief statement about the crowds during certain times and more about the places themselves. Also, many of the recommended accommodations leave out some of the best ones available. I am sorry I purchased this one.
