john terry is a great defender but he did not deserve to win da ucl 08/09 best defender. That should have been nemanja vidic. van der sar kept seven clean sheets in da ucl in 08/09 but made on average two saves a match. Why would he be making two saves a match. Maybe because he has ferdinand and particularly vidic at da back doing da hard work. Vidic 08/09 best defender and epl player of the year, its about time defenders got some consideration and this man deserves it
